"I was very pleased with the quality and ease of setup for this amp kit. I had no experience installing an amp and sub before and was able to do it with relative ease. The most challenging part was determining how to add the metal terminal pieces to the wires. It would have been helpful to have pictures showing what the different ends of wires should look like in the finished project. Along the same lines, it would have been helpful to have pictures, instructions, and or guidance on clipping the power wire to add the fuse. I did find the Rockville videos very helpful and relieving to learn from. It’s just an extra printed set of instructions with more specifics could have helped a new person like myself. I did have to go outside of the Rockville videos to watch other tutorials to improve my understanding of the process. A big plus with this kit is the confidence of knowing everything that is needed for the install has 100% been provided. There is no need to go elsewhere to buy zip ties to secure the power cable in the engine bay, to buy terminals to add to the ends of certain wire connections, etc. So even though I wasn’t 100% clear on what needed to happen at the start of the project (to 100% no fault or responsibility of Rockville), it was assuring to know that I had everything needed to work with to complete the job. Extra tools that I needed were a Phillips head screw driver, wire cutters, and pliers. The pliers were used to secure the metal terminal pieces to the ends of certain wires. The speakers are high quality to me and have no distortion or odd sounds that one wouldn’t want to hear. The two 8” subwoofers are the perfect amount of “umph” for what I wanted. I can feel the bass in my body, but it’s not so loud that 10 cars around me have their rear view mirrors vibrating. I was very pleased with the cost effectiveness of this kit. I initially explored an under-the-seat subwoofer/ amp combo, but having never heard one in person I was concerned it would not output enough base. I am glad that I went with these two 8” speakers because there is no question it offers a substantial amount of bass. I really like the build quality of the bass speaker. I know it’s possible to DIY this kind of thing, but the speaker looks very sharp in my opinion. The color of the material that covers the amp looks great and feels high quality. In summary, it’s 5/5 stars for me with this product. It’s high quality, all parts that are needed are supplied, and the system sounds amazing."
