"Sturdy without sand, and even sturdier after I added 20lbs of sand to each stand. My speakers needed the large top plates, and I went with the feet instead of the carpet spikes. The fact that both of those options were included were a huge selling point. The stands are a way better platform for my speakers than the old sideboard they were on. My speakers opened up and truly filled the room once they were on the stands. Easy to assemble, and lots of options make these great just over $100 stands."
