All my speakers are in one place as of yet so I don't really get to experience the special sound on the effects. I still need a fiber cord it didn't come with one.     "Very satisfied with my purchase. The only thing I didn't like was the seperate power switch on the back of the unit that is not controlled by the remote. Previous surround sound system had all functions controllable by the remote. Maybe this is common for this type of product as opposed to stereo type components you have in a entertainment center. Not sure??"
