    Great bass so long as you locate it properly

    "Produces excellent low end, depending on where you mount it. I had initially mounted mine in the spare tire well of my 2025 VW Taos, facing up. Bass sounded good but there was a horrible peak at about 150hz that wouldn't go away no matter where I set the crossover point. Put up with it for awhile, but decided I try a different mounting location to see if the sound improved. Wound up mounting it directly to the backside of the rear seat, facing the tailgate, and wow what a difference. The boom is gone, and it digs deeper than it ever did in the spare tire well. It won't rattle things, but that's not what I was looking for. It extends the low end to give a very satisfying thump. For the price and size, it'd be hard to beat this one."

    "I ordered the SS8P under-seat powered sub for my 2020 Corolla Hatchback Nightshade edition to give it the base the factory system lacked. The install was relatively straightforward (under the front passenger seat), with the purchase of an amp install kit and a plug-and-play harness from TacoTunes. With these accessories, the most challenging part of the installation was running the wires in the Georgia heat. Once installed and set up, this sub THUMPS! I was a little shooketh at how hard it hits for an 8"" powered sub, and the sound quality and clarity are top-notch. It fits nicely and securely under my passenger seat and is completely hidden when the seat is not pushed all the way forward. Don’t think about buying this product to aid your car audio sound, BUY IT!!! You won’t regret it at all!"

    "This little powered subwoofer really does the job! I have the factory amplified bose system in my 2015 Miata, and wanted more clean bass than what the door 8"" subs could produce. I chose this due to the small size. Still, it would not fit under a miata seat\: I attached it to the back wall at the floor behind the passenger seat. Tucks away nicely, and fills this little car with the bass it was missing! I did not use the remote knob as the aftermarket stereo I installed has a subwoofer control built-in. Very high quality. Sturdy and heavy, no cheap plastic casing here. Very impressed with the bass response from such a compact unit. A+++"
