Titans vs Harbinger 800
"We purchased these two Titan Portable PAs to replace a couple of Harbinger MLS800 units that we've been gigging with for the past 4 years. The harbingers are 800w class D amplifier rated at 120w to both sub and column at 400w peak RMS to both, max output SPL 114dB The Titans are rated at 1200W Peak power / 300W Continuous RMS 200w RMS goes to the sub and 100w RMS dedicated to the highs That said we are a duo running two guitar signals and two voice signals through a mixer into the PAs. I need to run the Titans at near full volume to get the same sound as the Harbingers running at 50 -60%. The sound quality is great. although the Titans seem to have a little distortion if I run the mixer signals into them too hot. Takes a little practice to get that balance right. While I haven't put them on a scale the Titans seem to heavier (Probably due to the battery cell. ) Pleased with the purchase works well indoors but would like a little more headroom when playing outdoors."
