Description of KD-X31MBS:
The KD-X31MBS is a Marine Motorsports Digital Media Receiver with a shallow installation chassis (only 4.2" deep), Built-In Bluetooth Wireless Technology, USB Port, and iPod/iPhone connectivity. It can also be connected to an outboard wired remote control and upgraded for SiriusXM Satellite Radio connectivity. It is conformal coated which makes it optimal for outdoor applications such as ATV/UTVs, Motorcycles, and boats.
The built in amplifier will give plenty of power to your speakers. It is rated at 22 x4 watts RMS, which is the most power offered by any receiver. (Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, Alpine, and other premium brands all offer models with this same power; but I have never seen any receiver with more power than this). The advantage of a high powered amplifier is your speakers will go louder and sound clearer.
The built in bluetooth technology will allow you to make phone calls using the receivers built in mic, and you will hear the audio from your speakers. It also integrates your phone book which is an advanced feature that not all bluetooth receivers have. Another advantage you get with JVC bluetooth technology is the ability to wirelessly stream music from your cell phone to the receiver. The bluetooth also has advanced integrations with iPhones Siri, Pandora radio, iHeartRadio, and more. The bluetooth allows you to dial calls, receive calls, and access text messages.
This receiver works great with both Android phones and with iPhones. It integrates through bluetooth as well as through the USB input.

Description:
The
RMS NeoMarine series of marine speakers by Rockville are light weight
yet can handle twice as much power as most other marine speakers on the
market. These speakers were engineered and designed with neo magnets
both in the tweeter and in the woofer of the speaker! Neo magnets are
known to be strong and light-weight. Neodymium is actually a very
expensive material so most manufacturers do not use it. Rockville
engineers care about quality and sound more than anything else and
designed the RMS65 using a new hybrid magnet system that combines
industry standard strontium magnet plus a pole mounted neodymium magnet
for 50% more magnetic power in the voice coil gap. The neo magnet also
allows the speaker to weigh half of what standard marine speakers weighs.
In addition, the neo magnet adds more control to the voice coil of the
speaker resulting in increased power handling and higher fidelity sound
quality. As far as we know Rockville is the only manufacturer using neo
magnets in both the tweeter and the woofer of their marine speakers.
The RMS65 6.5“ marine speakers were engineered to deliver amazing
power and sound quality in outdoor saltwater, freshwater or other harsh
environments. The speakers can withstand tons of abuse and can handle
300 watts peak and 75 watts RMS each per speaker. Being CEA compliant
you can be rest assured that the ratings are 100% legitimate. The CEA
rating system used for these Rockville speakers is the same rating
standard used by the highest end marine brands in the industry. (We
compared these against other brands and although some of these other
brands stated higher wattage the Rockville RMS65 speakers were able to
handle more than double the power of those!)
Built to last, the RMS65 feature built-in internal capacitor crossover
networks. The crossovers are designed to filter out unwanted frequencies
from your speakers — improving the sound quality and insuring that your
speakers will last longer. For marine applications it is best that the
crossover be completely internal so that it does not get damaged by the
elements at sea. The crossovers are completely hidden inside the frame
of the speaker for this reason.
Using only true marine grade components and materials, the Rockville
RMS65 speakers are fully marinized against salt & fresh water
conditions. They will not get damaged by fresh water, salt water, or
moisture. In addition the terminals (which are normally the first part
of a marine speakers that get damaged by water) are manufactured out of
stainless steel and they are completely rustproof. There is also an
additional waterproof coating to completely protect the speakers.
The speakers come with everything you need for installation including pre mounted grills and mounting hardware.
