Description:
The JBL® CSMA series of Mixer-Amplifiers are a professional tool with a sleek industrial look that is designed and built for commercial sound applications. Utilizing Crown's DriveCore technology enables significantly reduced size and weight - all mixer/amps are highly efficient, fanless and just 1U rack space high. There are both single channel and two channel models with four or eight mixer channels, respectively.
The CSMA mixer/amps offer unmatched ease of use, with a clean, front panel featuring only volume controls for each channel, master volume adjustment, adjustable bass and treble controls and a power switch. All the volume controls are surrounded by an illuminated ring, making them easy to see and operate in darkened environments. The amplifier can drive 8 ohm and 4 ohm loads and can be used with 70V and 100V distributed audio systems without the need for a separate transformer. In addition to balanced mic/line inputs, unbalanced RCA inputs and speaker connections, all units include RJ45 connectors for use with JBL CSR-V in-wall volume controls. All models feature a universal power supply which enables the ability to accept AC voltages from 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60Hz.
JBL Commercial mixer/amps are manufactured under HARMAN's GreenEdge™ environmental initiative, conforming to lead-free RoHS standards and utilizing recycled copper, aluminum and steel, an energy-saving powder coat finishing process and other environmentally-conscious manufacturing processes. Their highly efficient DriveCore design reduces power consumption and yields much more efficient operation - up to 80 percent more efficient than previous designs. All models carry a 3-year no-fault transferable warranty.

Description:
The DCS8T is the perfect solution to quickly and easily add speakers to rooms with standard drop ceiling tiles that measure 2 feet by 2 feet. Simply remove the ceiling tile where you want to put the speaker and put this one on its place. Run the speaker wire and you're installation is complete.
You can integrate this into any system that is either 70 volt, 100 volt, or even standard 8 ohm. The knob on the rear of the speaker allows you to select how many watts you will send to the speaker.
We tuned these speakers to sound perfect for both announcements and speeches while still sounding great for music playback.

What is 70 volt ?
70 volt systems are the number one choice for applications where you want to install many speakers With 70 volt there are a lot of advantages over 8-ohm systems. One of the main advantages is the simplicity of the wiring as well as how easy it is to match up speakers with the amplifier. For example, you can buy one 70V amplifier with 150 watts and you can install speakers that total around 120 watts. It does not matter if it is 12 speakers that are 10 watts each or 24 speakers that are tapped at 5 watts each. You always want your 70 volt amp to have at least 15 to 20% more power than the combined watts your speakers are tapped at.
When we say the word tap, we are referring to the switch that is located on the rear of these speakers where you can select how many watts you want the speaker to play. What this does is limit how many watts the built-in transformer on the speaker will allow the speaker to get from the amplifier. This gives you full customization over the sound for your space. In a restaurant for example you can tap your dining room speakers at 6 watts, and the hallway or bathroom speakers at 3 watts.
Another great feature with 70 volt is you can mix and match any 70 volt speakers whether they are ceiling speakers, wall mounted speakers, sub-woofers, etc.70 volt systems allow you to run very long lines of speaker wire without signal loss. This is ideal when running long speaker leads.
The wiring is simple. You just wire all the positive terminals of the speakers to the positive 70 volt terminals of the amplifier. The negative terminals on the speaker simply get wired to the negative terminals on the amp.You do not have to worry about impedance. The power is constant.
